The Public Health Authority (Prevention) send infectious disease units to the holy sites

From the headquarters of the Public Health Authority (Prevention) in Riyadh, infectious disease units were launched from the second and third biosafety levels to the holy sites. Weqaya explained that this unit aims to raise national capabilities to monitor and diagnose epidemic and infectious diseases of high risk and to enhance health security. By providing a laboratory system that includes all the equipment, technologies and systems necessary for operation and meets international standards and requirements for biological security and safety.

Confirmed that the health personnel working in these labora​​tories have a high level of competence and experience, having been trained in advanced international centers in the field of high-containment laboratories, and this comes within the initiatives of the Health Transformation Program in building qualitative capabilities to support public health and disease prevention.
